Naturally there has been a huge shift in trends for businesses and we have seen a much more diverse request in summer business travel, in particular the demand for the stunning scenery that this country can offer; from Swiss lakes, towns and mountains!
a Swiss destination will be sure to impress all attendees!
It was a great coincidence that within the same week we enjoyed meetings with some of our Swiss providers, Destination management companies and Convention Bureaus. Our team here at Corporate Peaks have used this time effectively to re-ignite relationships, develop new ones and plan appropriate familiarisation trips in order to really understand each destination and whether the fit will be right for our clients meaning if you are considering Switzerland as your next corporate trip you can rest assured in our first-hand knowledge. Above all, Switzerland is a very green destination- making it an excellent choice as businesses continue to look at sustainability in is travel programme. *(See the link below for more on this.)
So let’s take a look into each type of business trip and the benefits of this great destination:
Meetings: For smaller, more intimate meetings. The options are really varied and the choices are plentiful. Work with our events team to choose between some beautiful al fresco meeting facilities for those warm summer months or our particular favourite, the meeting carriages on the famous ‘Glacier Express’ a unique, efficient and exceptional journey from Engadin to the Matterhorn in complete rail luxury on the Excellence class. You can combine your meetings with fabulous events in Switzerland such as Montreux Jazz festival or excursions to the Christmas market if closer to the festive period to ensure that the perfect balance of business & pleasure is met- especially if entertaining prospective clients also…
Incentives: Not always the first choice on destination for a summer incentive. However as we said in the beginning there has been a much more diverse request and many are intrigued by trying something different next. Whether it be the exclusivity of this country, or more active, team-building perspective out in the beautiful open. From panoramic hiking, mountain biking, exclusive shopping experiences, lake excursions and activities, cheese making workshops, chocolatiers experiences and of course some of the world’s best spa experiences. Whichever style of incentive you choose here, you will be sure to be completely satisfied by the abundance in options for sightseeing, fun and every remaining aspect of your bespoke corporate trip.
Conferences: matter the chosen destination, from Bern to Geneva to Davos to Interlaken. This small country has excellent conferencing facilities for small- large- very large groups with options for 500-5000 delegates. Space, comfort, reliability & functionality are all aspects for you to rely on here. With of course, state of the art technology for each talk. The country is renowned for being a business hub and its conferencing facilities mirror this description. You are bound to find the perfect fit for your next large conference and the hotels to pair, with exceptional lakeside options available also (Montreux & Palazzo dei Congressi Lugano).
Transport and accessibility is excellent for each town/city no matter the format of your business event. With Some towns such as Zermatt completely Car-free, a reflection on the Green outlook. Delegates can travel efficiently in comfort via air, train from any direction. With the Major airports having frequent inbound/outbound international flight access also and train stations within airports for the ultimate logistical ease. (Although as a unique business travel agency, our designated team members will always be on hand to point you in the right direction.)
Whatever the business objectives, choosing a Swiss destination for your next trip will be sure to impress all attendees. Although costs can traditionally be higher here- you are rewarded with excellence, efficiency and outstanding surroundings. There is a magic to this country that we ourselves are excited to explore further but as we mentioned previously the dedication to sustainability is admirable and there is a lot that can be learned from this nation.
