BASS is the original British Ski School in Morzine & Les Gets that guarantees British coaches only, and small group sizes, never more than 4 learners for under 6yrs old, and 6 for everyone else. Jaz is an experienced Sports Coach and business leader with a deep understanding of elite level performance across individual and team sports and building business in unconventional markets. He is one of the highest qualified Ski Instructors in the world, holding the BASI International Ski Teacher Diploma.
He has additional responsibilities to train and assess all levels of ski instructor coming through the British Association of Snowsport Instructors qualifications, including training and educating the trainers who train the instructors. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience gained from training all levels of recreational and professional skiers over a 30 year career, including coaching the Scottish Freestyle Mogul squad for many years.
He still skies to the highest level having been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2011 & 2015 Interski Congresses.
As a sailor he has won many events over a long career including European and National Championships. He also has considerable experience coaching on a variety of classes and sizes of yacht including SB3’s, Beneteau 40.7’s, Farr 65’s & Class 40 Double Handed Round the World. He has been Director of British Alpine Ski School for 17 years, successfully establishing a respected business that has re-defined the industry and built a reputation for excellence.
